Dev Ops Engineer – Edinburgh

We are looking for a Dev Ops engineer to join a growing company. This is an excellent opportunity for a person with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Experience using the AWS eco system, especially VPC, EC2, RDS and Redshift and the AWS Cloud Development Kit, Lambda.
  • Excellent knowledge of Python.
  • Experience working with version control tools, understand the importance of code reviews and coding standards), deployment pipelines (docker, yaml, linting, testing).
  • Understanding of common cloud metrics and alerting within AWS.

Duties

  • You will work with external and internal stakeholders as well as team members when capturing and documenting IT requirements.
  • You will show attention to detail and show strong problem-solving skills when helping to spec out projects and infrastructure.
  • You will help up define and deploy infrastructure, integration tools and pipelines
  • You will on occasion have to review or test code written by others as well as contribute to some code projects.

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £30,000 – £40,000
